Our team has successfully conducted mediations in the UAE, Jordan and the UK on a variety of different case types.

Our pragmatic and commercial approach to dispute resolution is geared at encouraging serious attempts to achieve amicable settlement prior to the commencement of litigation or ADR proceedings.

We assist our clients through the ADR process in the UAE Courts.

Arbitration

Our arbitration team has acted as counsel on 'ad hoc' and contractual arbitration, both domestic and international under the arbitral rules of Dubai Courts; DIAC; ADCCAC; DIFC LCIA; ICC; LCIA; and SIAC (Shanghai). 

We regularly assist clients in enforcing or resisting arbitration awards in the Court of First Instance, Court of Appeal and Court of Cassation under Federal Law No. 11 of 1992 The Civil Procedure and under the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitration Awards 1958 (New York Convention).

Litigation

Our lawyers have managed cases at all levels of the UAE Federal Courts: Court of First Instance, Court of Appeal, Court of Cassation / Supreme Court, and in the DIFC Courts.

Typical instructions include:

Civil and commercial: Contractual default claims, employment, property, trademark, agency, shareholders disputes, enforcement of international judgments and arbitration awards etc.

Interim measures: Precautionary attachments, travel bans and appointment of guardianship

Criminal: Breach of trust, embezzlement, forgery, bounced cheques etc.
